Loyalty of Henchmen and Hirelings, Obedience, and Morale (p.36) ss

Superseded. The vanilla loyalty and morale system depends on alignment — which does not exist in Oath-Bound — and on class structures that have been replaced. The mechanical tables do not apply.

In Oath-Bound, loyalty is a function of the bond between the character and those who follow them — secular oath, formal bond of service, or informal loyalty built through the fiction of play. Retention is a gameplay event, not a table determination. A henchman who has been well treated, whose obligations have been honored, and who has not been asked to cross lines they drew at the outset will stay. One who has not, may not.

The range of loyalty mechanisms available — and their practical implications — is addressed in the CRM.
